Our Story

Local Pet Service

We are a small farm in Gravel Switch, KY where raise beef cattle, sheep and raise some of the best cattle dogs around. I fell in love with cattle dogs when my daughter bought a blue female home in 1989. She went off FFA camp and her dog become mine. I was in love. We had a few litters of puppies each year, those puppies have went to new homes all over the USA. We lost our first heelers to old age. We loved them so.

It is now year 2020. We was looking for new Females and found some in Taylorsville, NC at Mills Creek Australian Cattle dogs on a small farm like ours. They reminded so much of the first heelers we had tp have them. We came home with Ruby and Darla, and we found Max our boy in Gillman, MO.

We looking forward to our first litter of puppies out of our girls, and our guy.

The dogs are with us daily while we are working the stock, or hanging out at the barn.

We will plan litters of puppies each year. Out of our wonderful working dogs or just a family's loved companion. We would love to help you choose your next trail buddy, working dog, show, or family companion!

We specialize in AKC Australian Cattle Dogs and feel that is it important for each dog to have their own duties. Our dogs are ALL first and foremost family pets and constant companions and are not just breeding dogs. We have a handful that we have selected for breeding that have the qualities and conformation of the breed that we would like to pass on to others. We breed for temperament and conformation. Quality is what counts not quantity!  We believe if we are breeding for work, show or pet, the quality has to be the best. There should be no difference. We do not have unhealthy dogs in our kennel nor a flea or tick. Our puppies are on a strict deworming and vaccination schedule. They are socialized with our dogs and family. We believe that the more social a puppy is, the better dog he/she will make. Even though this breed is known to have "natural" instincts, they still require time and training. The outcome is the direct result of the time and effort you were able to give as well as the dog's abilities. These dogs are good companions and tend to choose their owners. They need plenty of exercise and keeping them occupied will help keep them out of trouble. All puppies leave our farm with a health guarantee and go only to approved homes. The most important thing for us is that dog and person are an equal match!

Whether we are breeding for work, show or pet, the quality must be the best. We have our veterinary to check our dogs and puppies. We do all required testing by AKC for Australian Cattle dogs.

Hip Evaluation

Elbow Evaluation

Ophthalmologist Evaluation

BAER Testing

PRA Optigen DNA Test

PLL DNA Test

RCD4 Test

We will not dock tails. We will not cross bred heelers with another bred. Do not ask. We are AKC and follow their guidelines.
